Narrative poem
The Mystery Of Morning Tea
I had yummy morning tea.
A bird flew to a tree beside me.
The bird flew around the corner.
I chased the speedy foreigner.
To me the bird is annoying.
The bird was full of prying.
His wings shove tons of bugs.
And he ate lots of slugs.
I hope that bird next time
won’t be so mean.
This bird loves to
keep his feathers clean.

Identifying Fractions
My fractions Reflection
Today I discovered that there are many different fractions. I had to count the coloured pieces and to figure out the fraction. Next I would like to work with more difficult fractions.
Justify Inferences

My Reflection
Today I explored that inferencing is harder then it looks.
I have to read between the lines to look for clues from the text or author.
My next step is to keep looking for clues when I read texts.

Summarising
Reflection:
We have been learning to summarise by finding the main idea in the text. The diagram above shows how we identified the main ideas.
Something I enjoyed was learning how to find the clues.
Something I found tricky was adding a good amount of detail to my summary.
Next I will use the Reading Big book to help me remember my learning.

Dear, Mum and Dad
I can hear kids screaming at the model dinos. The kids screamed "I want to get out of here." "Come here" kids are telling there Mum to follow them. I can see a jet black and velvit black roof. Outside there is a bush on a very lush field with blades of grass. I can smell the food in the cafe. food smelt like buiger king. The fresh air smelt like lake air. The food I am eating it tastes like rottin eggs. The bones are as smooth as a tree with no bark. Kids are fidling with reptile dino figuires. The front desk is as long as two adults. The cafe has frosted ice-cream.
WHERE AM I?
