Justify Inferences

_________________________________________________________________________________

My Reflection

Today I explored that inferencing is harder then it looks.
I have to read between the lines to look for clues from the text or author.
My next step is to keep looking for clues when I read texts.

Nonsense Poem

BREAKING NEWS

Here is the news, here is the news,
One amazing bone.

one bone is
known to have a clone.
one bone was
blown  by a cyclone.

one very own bone was
thrown with a stone.

one bone had two
clones of its own.

one bone
began to mone.

one bone had its
own microphone.

That was the news!
a bone
a  bone sense
That was the news!

My nonsense poem Reflection

Today I explored more and more rhymes.

I got better at gathering rhymes
together by using resources to help me.

Next time I would like to try a different type of poem.

Summarising

Reflection:
We have been learning to summarise by finding the main idea in the text. The diagram above shows how we identified the main ideas.

Something I enjoyed was learning how to find the clues.

Something I found tricky was adding a good amount of detail to my summary.

Next I will use the Reading Big book to help me remember my learning.

Mokomoko Facts

Reflection:

We have been learing about lizards because we are looking after the school lizard garden.

Something I enjoyed was reading about lizards.

Something I found tricky was gathring data about skinks and geckos.

Next I will try to find more key facts.

Dear, Mum and Dad

I can hear kids screaming at the model dinos.  The kids screamed "I want to get out of here." "Come here" kids are telling there Mum to follow them.  I can see a jet black and velvit black roof.  Outside there is a bush on a very lush field with blades of grass.  I can smell the food in the cafe. food smelt like buiger king. The fresh air smelt like lake air.  The food I am eating it tastes like rottin eggs. The bones are as smooth as a tree with no bark.  Kids are fidling with reptile dino figuires.  The front desk is as long as two adults. The cafe has frosted ice-cream.

WHERE AM I?

Reflection:

We been learning to describe a setting by using our senses.

I enjoyed planning because we got to draw our own plan.

Something tricky I think was putting all my ideas together.

Next time I will try to correct more spelling errors.
